VA BMX Team Series Scoring
Team Scoring

>        Riders on a Team Sheet in Virginia BMX events must be identified by BMX-style jerseys with the Team Name visible on the back and must wear their Team Jersey and other required race gear and number plate during all events.  The event Referee may consider special circumstances should a rider damage a jersey during an event.

>        The team's top four rider scores will be counted to determine the overall Team Score.  The Team Sheet with the highest Team Score from each daily race will be used towards the Championship Series points total (i.e., Team Motofiller has one Team Sheet with 50 points and the with 49 - 50 points counts toward the Series).

>        For Team Sheet purposes, riders will be scored by using the table below according to their Main Event finish.  No points will be awarded for Motos or other Qualifying Rounds.  Riders will be scored as they cross the finish line in relation to all other riders in their Main Event, regardless of whether the class is combined or not.

>        To assist Team Managers and ensure scoring consistency, a Virginia BMX Official will tally and score all Team Sheets after the last Main Event has run using the guidelines listed above.  One copy of the results will be available after the race for the Team Manager to pick up and retain for team records.  The remaining copy will be retained by Virginia BMX.
